"Soroptimist" is a latin word meaning "Best for Women" and is an international volunteer service organization for business and professional women who work to improve the lives of women and girls, in local communities and throughout the world.  

Soroptimist International of the Kachinas (SIK) was established over 25 years ago by a group of committed women in the west valley of Phoenix, AZ. Our club is proud to still have many of these charter members active today who contribute vast amounts of knowledge and experience to our ever growing club. SIK was a founder of the West Valley Child Crisis Center over 20 years ago and today we are still greatly devoted to improving the lives of women girls in our community. We are proud to be part of an international organization that is committed to this same mission around the world.

Each September, SIK hosts an annual Indulgence Faire. This is a lavish event for our female community complete with chocolate, wine, shopping, and relaxing!

In addition to these events, we meet weekly to collectively work on additional service projects, women opportunity awards, community service activities and more.
