MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT VIRGINIA CORDER:
Welcome to the Kachina Website! Each year Kachinas embrace a new mission and direction, and this year, we salute our western heroines—the cowgirls! They were strong women who took action. Like these women, we are our own women; we make our own path, and we take responsibility for who we are and what we do. Dale Evans, one of the most famous cowgirls explained it like this . . . “Cowgirl is an attitude, really. A pioneer spirit, a special American brand of courage. The cowgirl faces life head on, lives by her own lights and makes no excuses. Cowgirls take stands, they speak up. They defend things they hold dear.”
The cowgirl ATTITUDE represents a spirit of independence and self-reliance. She lives what she believes and does not worry about conforming to anyone’s mold. She is a woman of substance, strength and courage. She’s got ATTITUDE—and that’s a Kachina!
If this sounds like you, then walk with us! We’ve got our boots on, and this year, Kachinas are Walking with ATTITUDE!
